STUDENT TARDINESS
Arriving late means missing valuable learning. Every minute of learning matters.
When your child is late, learning is missed.
Every tardy means missed instruction, classroom routines, and learning experiences that cannot be fully recreated. Late arrivals also interrupt the learning of the whole class.
MAKE PUNCTUALITY A PRIORITY
- Prepare backpacks, clothes, and lunches the night before.
- Leave early and allow extra time for traffic and drop-off.
- Have your child at school and ready to learn before class begins.
- Schedule non-emergency appointments outside school hours.
TARDINESS IS NOT OKAY AS A ROUTINE.
Students arriving late to class are marked tardy. Unexcused tardies can have serious attendance consequences. If your child must be late, contact the school and provide the reason.

Three unexcused tardies of more than 30 minutes may count toward truancy.
